John McClendon has announced his bid for re-election for Graceville City Commissioner, Group 5. McClendon has been a citizen of Graceville since 1969 and has worked at the local furniture store, AP’s Furniture & More (previously Badcock Home Furniture & More) for 48 years. He has been involved in city league sports as an umpire for over 30 years.

McClendon says, “Strong family values and work ethic are important to me. That is why I want to continue to be your city commissioner”.

McClendon believes since becoming commissioner the City of Graceville has seen necessary growth and development of the community. He believes the community needs to continue to have people in governmental positions that will be honest, fair, committed, and motivated to help Graceville continue moving forward. He also says honesty is a key characteristic that all elected officials should possess, and that if a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right. McClendon is committed to making the right decisions for Graceville as a whole, and as a motivated official, with the support of a motivated community, current or future issues that may arise can continue to be addressed.

McClendon says, “I believe in our community and I believe I have what it takes to continue to make it better. I would be honored to continue serving as your city commissioner”.
