Graceville graduate continues to grow his Kolors brand

Graceville graduate Treyshaun White had his own dream when he graduated from Graceville High School in 2010 and now 14 years later, he is at the start of living his dreams.

White moved to Atlanta and began working with Delta, but his heart was always in fashion and bringing people together. That desire brought about White’s brainchild, “Kolors” a fashion brand that focuses on “starting conversations between strangers,” according to White. Created in 2019, “Kolors” has went from apparel to a true brand with White even having his own barbershop with the same vibe as his fashion.

That barbershop has even helped catapult his brand to a new level receiving notice and mentions from various celebrities in the Atlanta music-scene as well as fashion and TikTok. His tenure as a barber started as a child when his dad put a pair of clippers in his hands as a kid. White would use those skill of cutting hair throughout his life, even working cutting hair to make money after high school before moving to Atlanta. A few years after the COVID pandemic, White began cutting hair again to aid with income as he continued pushing his Kolors brand, never realizing that cutting hair would help his fashion.

He began, “People started calling me Kolors” when they would mention his skills behind a barber’s chair because that was how people knew him. After having several people recommend and reach out to him, White decided to start an LLC. He quickly rented a suite in Atlanta and began Kolors barbshop. “From there it really took off because I had paint all over the walls and just colors on everything, and then I started cutting certain individual’s hair and they were like ‘hey I knew this person and they want a haircut’…and celebrities started hitting me up [for cuts]”.

It wasn’t all a quick blessing though, as White spoke about many tribulations he dealt with in the five year since starting the brand. He spoke about being taken advantage of and losing money in his ventures commenting, “It was very devastating to the brand and me as well.” He continued that even though trials and tribulation occurred he was able to make it through because of “consistency of me not giving up.” He went on to say, “I was like this is not the end of the road, things happen to people all the time. Why am I going to sit here dwell and complain about something that I still have control of, that I still control the narrative to. This is my brand and it’s up to me to get me where I need to be and the brand to be.” He went on to say that ways he found success included working hard when nobody was looking. He also added, “I’m a walking billboard for myself and my brand.”

Today, White is about to celebrate five years of the “Kolors” brand with great success. Not only in those years has he created and marketed his own brand but as also established a well-known Atlanta barbershop. White finished noting he is always doing his best to be a good role model because, “I know I have people out there observing from afar”.

White visits the local hometown frequently and is now able to see students in those same Graceville School halls wearing his clothing brand “Kolors”, showing no matter where you are from everybody can achieve their dreams.
